In September 2019, IntelliGo installed Denmarks most intelligent signaling system at the Grenåvej / Egå Havvej intersection in Aarhus Muncipality.

The IntelliFlow system only needs one second to lay out a plan, so the signal strategy changes adaptively and lightning fast to new and upcoming traffic. It calculates 20 seconds ahead, after all that can be detected in all directions, and then the system makes decisions about how the traffic can best be settled.

The system takes all data from the installations radars, and uses them to examine how many cars are at the intersection, where they are and what speed they have, and thus how long it takes before they are at the stop line. IntelliFlow also looks at historical data, so if there are five cars at the intersection, you get the probability of whether they will turn left or right.

IntelliFlow has managed to reduce queuing at the intersection by 41 percent for the approx. 25,000 cars a day that pass the intersection.

The preliminary measurements showed that the IntelliFlow technology has on average saved road users about 30 percent of the normal waiting time at the intersection Grenåvej / Egå Havvej, which corresponds to road users saving a total of about 20 hours a day.
